NPT is an approved provider of professional trainings which meet the state requirements for child welfare practice. We offer professional development and continuing education (CEU) courses to support the learning, resilience, and well-being of Nevada's child welfare workers.

NEW CASE WORKER ACADEMY

Students

Academy is designed to kick-start careers by providing essential knowledge and skills for child welfare professionals. These pre-service trainings offer an intensive and curated series of courses to support the preparation of new child welfare workers.

SUPERVISOR TRAINING

Meeting

Taking on a supervisory role requires a specific set of skills to be able to manage the team and workload effectively. Our supervisor trainings support the transition from worker to leader through a curated series of online, hybrid, and in-person trainings.

CHILD WELFARE SCHOLARS

Graduation Ceremony

The Title IV-E Child Welfare Scholars Program assists students pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree at the University of Nevada, Reno with a focus of study in child welfare by providing a child welfare field placement, training, educational support, and a financial stipend (forgivable loan) in exchange for a year of employment with a Nevada public child welfare agency.
